Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her work. She advocates the rights of animals. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). She was drawn to becoming an artist was influenced by her family background as a member of an New York family of artists. Beginning she was employed as an photographer's assistant. In the future her work changed towards modeling and directing. She was noticed in two of her films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw's feature film Love Story was an international hit, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. MacGraw was deemed the top box office star in the world after only three releases. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater engraved her autograph with handprints, foot prints and handprints in the year 1972. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
