Zoe-perry

Perry was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both the two shows she starred in on Roseanne. However, her parents didn't want her to perform until she turned an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry acknowledged that she was not at ease in the stage during high school. She began doing it to make friends during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, moved in New York in search of television roles. Her small part was on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness brought her back to California in search of theater jobs. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway with her for the play The Other Place, in 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was presented in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry starred in nine episodes in 2016 of the ABC drama The Family. In 2017, she starred in a recurring role on The ABC Political thriller Scandal which starred her father. She was also cast in her role on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The role was offered to her by auditioning for an open role despite being connected to the persona.
