Silk was born in Fredericton (New Brunswick), Canada. Ilkay Silk was a well-known actor, producer and director who taught the course at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter, a distinguished academic. Anna has some first memories of watching and going to rehearsals of plays. Silk played a role as a young girl in a variety of commercials. She completed a Bachelors of Arts at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two productions in the theater's early days that included Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved to Toronto for acting classes to progress in the month of November 1999. After a decade saw her move in Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Actors Workshop at Los Angeles in 2007. They were engaged in 2009 and married in a civil wedding ceremony that took place in December. When she converted to Judaism, they renewed their wedding vows during a Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011.
